Sigma Beta Club Values
The Sigma Beta Club was first formed in the early 1950's by Brother Dr. Parlett L. Moore, then Phi Beta Sigma's National Director of Education formally launched a youth group originally called, The Beta Club to respond to the scarcity of positive role models for young boys. Immediately the group became an integral part of the Fraternity's educational mission. Now years later in the form of the Sigma Beta Club Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity continues to answer the call in making a difference in the lives of many of our at-risk adolescents. As the youth auxiliary of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Sigma men help develop strong values, leadership skills, a love of learning, social responsibility, cultural awareness and pride among the young men of our communities. Through wholesome interaction, Brothers serve as mentors and guides to the young men as they participate in academic skills enhancement, athletic contests, social and community service projects and more.
